NARRATIVE

Jason Lagrasse is an entrepreneur who owns a large terrace farming business. He has just purchased the Smith house in Connecticut, and his family of four are moving into the home in 2023. Renovations need to take place in order to house him and his children to make their new summer home practical and comfortable. One thing that is very important to Jason is perspective, So having the master suite high up to take in the view is important. Something else Jason values is exercise, so a large home gym should be located near the main area and the master bedroom. Another thing that is important to the Lagrasse family is a space for entertainment, so a nice backyard area and interesting architecture might make for a good conversation with guests. 

The project will be inspired by terrace farming, as Jason is the owner of a large traditional mountain farming business. The intersection of many rectangular shapes and the cascade and ascension to display hierarchy between these shapes will be important in the design of this addition.
